Inventions:
Acoustic-inertial camera motion tracking system – For Double Edge Digital – Hardware system used for recording camera movement on movie sets for shots where other traditional tracking methods are not feasable.
Lens Calibration Tool for VFX Cinematography – Specialized system of easy to use camera lens charts and slates for later duplication in 3D environments. Especially usefull for tracking and photogrametric work.
Motion Control /3D Interface – Two systems for Stargate Films and I.d.entity. Facilitated multi-platform accessability to camera movement. Allows moves to be written in 3D or recording via airborne encoders (SpaceCam) and translated into motion control or vice versa. Works on variety moco cranes with virtual axis.
The “StraightLine” Flying System – For Stargate Films. Mechanical flying system similar to Cable Cam. Features programmable and repeatable variable AC motor, cable of flying 500lb payload up to 1500’ at 50 mph. Used on many projects including “The Flood”, with a remote camera.
The “Whirly-Rig” Flying System – For Stargate Films, Four seat rotary puppeteer rig with camera mounts and two articulated puppeteer arms. Used to hang miniature aircraft models in front of camera for in-camera shots. Required Dramamine.
9-Wire Model Mover Rig – For Stargate Films - Laser-sighted 9-wire rig for hanging miniatures. Keeps models absolutely rigged. Radio controlled as well as motion-controlled.
Radio Controlled Digital Plate-Shooting ParaGlider – RC powered paraglider capable of taking high resolution digital stills for aerial perspective still plates.
